A Typical Duncan Day

Show Us Your Life with Kelly's Korner

Long story short, I was confused about the "Show Us Your Life" topic for today, and it turns out this is a week early :) Oops!! But, I thought I'd post it anyway...hope you enjoy!!

My day usually starts out with a smile from my sweet girl.
We then eat some breakfast,
and play for awhile.
Soon, it's nap-time.
Sometimes we make it to the crib, other times...
Most days, we'll eat lunch and then go for a little walk.
Then it's time for some Jump-A-Roo action!
I usually tackle some chores, too. Elli loves to help w/ the laundry!
Playing usually leads to another nap...
Of course we'll eat again, but then it's on to bathtime,
story time,
snuggle & prayer time, and then bedtime.

Elli is usually down by 7:30, so Chris & I get to enjoy a couple hours of time to ourselves in the evenings...that is, of course, when he's not studying :) And, Elli & I are pretty good about filling up our week w/ outings & friend visits too. We have Taco Tuesdays at the squadron each week, Bible Study on Thursdays, lunch w/ the ladies on Fridays, and I've been known to throw in a day of shopping here and there!! Elli is such a good little girl, and just sits back and enjoys wherever it is that I take her each day. I know I've said it a million times, but she truly brings so much joy to my life :)

And that's a day in the life of a Duncan!! Might not seem like much, but it's an absolute dream for me... & I wouldn't trade it for the world!

What a busy day Ms. Elli has! I love the pic of her sleeping with her hands behind her heads. My girls did that some. So cute! Miss you lady!

Hi, Absolutely love your blog!

So here is a question I've been debating with Kelly Stamps of KellysKorner:

If you father-in-law died - and he had a good, close relationship with your husband - would you attend his funeral?

Do you think being pregnant is a reason not to drive 4-5 hours to attend your father-in-law's funeral? Assuming of course you are otherwise healthy and having a normal pregnancy?

Of course, I'm sure you said "HECK YES"!! I would attend my father-in-law's funeral and NEVER think about abandoning my husband and his family during such a sad time!

Well, if you can believe it, there is one of our fellow bloggers named Melissa Stafford who can't be bothered to attend her father-in-law's funeral. Her father-in-law died earlier this week of cancer. She couldn't be bothered to go and visit him and now won't go to the funeral.

Melissa is pregnant. But she is going to the gym all the time, going shopping, going out to lunch with her friends. In other words, there is no health-related reason for her not to go to the funeral.

Can you believe this? Isn't this woman cruel and un-Godly? How can she be so mean and cold and neglect her husband at his time of need?

Truly unbelievable! Let her know what you think. Read the whole story here: http://staffordmoments.blogspot.com

Please pray for this woman and hope that God will forgive her cruelty, selfishness and cold, uncaring behaviour towards her poor husband (who by the way just lost his job and is unemployed).
